So... I Guess I have a Website Now

Hello everyone who is reading this!

With the rise of... well... everything that is making the internet a worse experience for anyone who uses it, I decided to take the plunge and create a personal website. This decision was only partly influenced by my partner Astra's excitement about the "small web" and his proclamation that everyone should make a personal website.

As someone who is admittedly a “not a computer person” person (no matter how often Astra says I’m more computer literate than average), I figured making a personal website would be an arduous task far beyond my capabilities. And while it has had it’s frustrating moments, it honestly was easier than I had expected. I even got started using git for version control (and to have a backup in case I bork my site into oblivion by accident). With Astra’s guidance, a lot of googling, and some determination, I feel pretty proud of this little site I’ve put together, and I am excited to keep adding to it.

Ultimately, I’m building this site for myself, which is probably the most authentic way to make a personal site. I’m honestly not really expecting a ton of people to find my site, so if you are a random internet stranger who has happened to stumble into my little corner of the internet: Hello!

I hope you enjoy your visit!
